Hello and welcome to the Só Sligo Food Festival.  Sligo has a wealth of incredible food, and some amazing food producers who live and create in this region. The festival is very family orientated, so “something for everyone” is definitely the order of the day!

So Sligo Cookery Competition Update

The following compeitions take place in St Angela’s College, Lough Gill, Sligo – spectators welcome!

  • Professional World Irish Stew Championship took place on the 16th May. CONGRATULATIONS to the winner World Irish Stew Champion 2012 Samuel Mulholland of Renvyle House Hotel, and winner of the Non-Professional Category Stephen Schmidt of Lyit.
  • The Sligo Signature Dish was won by Gary Mc Peake, Sligo Park Hotel with his dish Mullaghmore Lobster – 5 ways!.
  • The Mystery Basket Competition was won by a team of Michael Thomas, Raddisson Blu Hote, Sligo and Samuel Mulholland, Renvyle House Hotel.
  • The Radisson Blu Great Family Cook-off will take place on Saturday 19th May in St Angelas’s College. ENTRY STILL OPEN for teams of one uder 18 year old (or two under 10 year olds) and an over 18 year old.
  • The Connacht Gold Junior Chef competition will take place at 10am on Friday 18th May in St Angela’s College. Entries closed!
  • Competitors of all events can set up 30 minutes before the start of the competition.
